Beschreibung

The German D-Grid connects many computing resources of universities and research institutions - like the FZ Juelich and the ZIH - and enables scientists to use them. The Grid software UNICORE allows an easy and simultaneous access at the D-Grid high performance computers. The Grid tutorial on September 21st will give an introduction to the usage of the graphical interface and the command line client of UNICORE. The attendees will exercise the submission of jobs (simple applications and complex workflows) into the Grid. Within the tutorial an official electronic certificate will be obtained that is needed to use the D-Grid. Attendees can bring their own application to try in the Grid.
