SUMMARY:Münseer: 3D Label-free Live cell microscopy
CLASS:PUBLIC

 cs:\nBiologie\, Medizin\n Location:\n Name: MPI-CBG (small auditorium)\n
  Street: Pfotenhauerstraße 108\n City: 01307 Dresden\n Phone: +49 351 2
 10-0\n Fax: +49 351 210-2000\nDescription: Label-free live cell imaging r
eveals unique dynamics of cellular organelles and highly dynamic cellular
 structures\, such as mitochondria\, lipid droplets\, filopodia\, dendrites
\, axons\, nucleus and nucleoli etc without any staining or preparation. T
he 3D Cell Explorer generates no phototoxicity as it needs by an order of
magnitude less energy than light sheet microscopes or confocal laser scann
ing microscopes thereby enabling long-term imaging of fine cellular dynami
cs. With a lateral resolution of 195 nm it allows high resolution imaging
of cellular and sub-cellular structures. The whole sample volume is imaged
in one acquisition using a fraction of time required by other techniques.
3D holographic rendering allows fast and easy visualisation as well as qu
antitative data extraction. The seminar is followed by hands-on session
s on Wednesday and Tuesday. If you are interested in testing the system wi
th your own sample\, please contact Isabel Raabe (isabel.raabe@tu-dresden
 .de).
