- Beschreibung
- The underdoped side of the hole doped cuprate phase diagram contains an anomalous phase referred to as the pseudogap. ? It has proved challenging to formulate a theoretical description which consistently explains experimental data throughout the entire doping range of the superconducting dome. ? Progress towards this goal has arisen in the form of an ansatz for the pseudogap self energy based on Mott physics at weak coupling in two-leg Hubbard ladders.[1] ? The successes of this model have recently been reviewed.[2] ? I will present the details of this model along with a few of these successes. ? However, I will adopt a slightly more pragmatic viewpoint in which I will identify the key components of Mott-Hubbard physics which have allowed this ansatz to be successful. [1] K-Y. Yang, T. M.
