SUMMARY:BIOTEC Forum \"Systems Biology of Cellular Regulation\"
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: \nInstitute of Speaker: \nTopics:\nBiologie\, Medizin\
 , Informatik\nTime:\n09:00-13:00\n\n Location:\n Name: MPI-CBG (Auditoriu
 m)\n Street: Pfotenhauerstraße 108\n City: 01307 Dresden\n Phone: +49

ystems Biology of Cellular Regulation\" aims to combine new techniques of
determining molecular interactions with new ways of portraying cellular re
gulation. International experts will present latest developments in genomi
c technologies such as mass-spectrometry based proteomics\, deep sequencin
g\, RNA interference\, and computational biology. Presentations will focus
on stem cell biology\, preclinical regenerative medicine\, the effects of
cellular stress and statistical genetics. The meeting will therefore be a
n update on the state of the art for those interested in developing innova
tive therapies and personalized medicine. The BIOTEC Forum Starting in
2007\, the BIOTEC Forum has become an annual open meeting\, discussing ho
t topics in one or more of the research areas represented at the BIOTEC Ce
nter. The format of the meeting is such that internationally renowned spea
kers at the forefront of their respective research fields will present and
discuss recent scientific advances. The meeting is fully open to local an
d external scientists\, with no conference fee being taken. Own contributi
ons can be made within a postersession. A strong emphsis is also laid on t
he integration of industrial contributions\, giving companies in the field
the opportunity to present their newest developments\, and to fosetr coll
aborations and networking at an early stage of applied research.
