- In daily life we are constantly faced with a multitude of different response options. To cope with these different response options and to ensure that our behaviour does not become disorganized the brain has to be equipped with mechanisms that allow a selection of actions. However, until now the neurobiological and functional neuroanatomical determinants remain largely elusive. The talk will focus on the central question how our brains are able to solve "multitasking situations". Doing so, the talk will highlight different cognitive-neuroscientific approaches that tackle different facets of mechanisms that enable our brains to solve the challenges we face in our daily life.
