platform for quantum information processing. Strictly speaking\, however\
, the scheme relies on infinite braiding times as it utilizes the adiabati
c limit. I will discuss how to minimize nonadiabatic errors for finite bra
iding times by finding an optimal protocol for the Majorana movement or ad
ding so-called counter diabatic terms to the Hamiltonian. In the second pa
rt of the talk I will present a scheme to substantially increase the robus
tness of a Majorana pi/8 phase gate\, which is a missing ingredient when i
mplementing universal quantum computation using Majorana bound states.
