- Description
- Generating specialized hardware improves performance for various algorithms. The chair for embedded systems has developed a GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) plug-in which generates hardware description code for unmodified C loops and outsources the execution of these loops to an FPGA. To enable memory access optimizations in the generated hardware code, information about the memory access patterns in the original C code needs to be extracted. The presented work implements a component for the plug-in which analyses the C code using GCC-provided tools and performs a compile- and run-time alias analysis. The presentation will include an architectural overview and a summary of the results and limitations of the current implementation. Diese Veranstaltung wird unterstützt von Professur für Eingebettete Systeme.
