- Description
- On the example of linearized elasticity and some non-linear lower-dimensional models, we will discuss a general framework for simultaneous homogenization and dimension reduction in elasticity, which is largely based on the Griso's decomposition of displacements and its consequences. The framework encompasses derivation of effective energy densities for lower-dimensional models by means of non-standard Gamma-convergence techniques, but it also applies in the context of convergence of stationary points, for example, for thin nonhomogeneous rods under the assumption of the von Kármán scaling.
