- Description
- Motivated by the problem many-body localization and the hierarchical structure of connections in the Hilbert space of many-body systems, we revisit the problem of single-particle localization on a Bethe lattice. We give both analytical (in terms of the replica symmetry breaking (RSB)) and numerical evidence of existence of the new phase of non-ergodic extended (NEE) states with multifractal statistics of wave function coefficients in addition to the usual ergodic extended (EE) phase and the localized phase. We discuss the phase diagram on the Bethe lattice and the phase transitions between the three phases. Finally we compare the one-step RSB approach with the non-linear sigma model one and show their equivalence for a finite Bethe lattice.
