- We hear in 3D because evolution has endowed us with this fundamental ability for dealing with a changing environment. Electronic engineering has worked for years to develop convincing spatial sound reproduction systems, having currently a very confusing picture. In this seminar, the current 3D sound systems will be described, classifying them in a structured way and commenting on their strengths and drawbacks. Also, the future challenges in order to obtain more convincing and personalized 3D sound systems will be pointed.
