Description
We compute double centralizers of semisimple torsion elements in metric ultraproducts of finite quasisimple groups. This information is used to show that (up to the exception: $Sp_U(q)=GO_U(q)$?) the Lie type and the field size, is an invariant which is determined by the group structure of such an ultraproduct.
