 ce implantable thermoelectric generators (ITEGs) for use in electrically a
 ctive implants. The optimization of the ITEG is achieved through model-bas
 ed simulation\, ensuring maximum power and sufficient voltage for implanta
 tion scenarios. Novel mathematical method of parametric model order reduct
 ion (pMOR) is implemented to ensure an efficient design optimization proce
 ss. An assembly approach is presented for fabricating ITEGs with high-aspe
 ct-ratio thermocouples. Furthermore\, a compact ITEG with an integrated bo
 ost converter is developed to provide voltage levels suitable for powering
  electronic systems. The applicability of the ITEGs is virtually tested vi
 a simulation of a TEG embedded into human cranial bone.
