Abstract
Over the past five years, the laboratory infrastructure at the Institute of Solid State and Materials Physics has developed rapidly. The commissioning of our flagship, the multi-purpose x-ray diffractometer SIRUS, is only the latest milestone. In addition to three unique x-ray diffraction systems that enable x-ray diffraction measurements on single crystals, powders and surfaces, we have also set up a comprehensive range of complex sample environments such as low and high temperatures, hydrostatic pressure and uniaxial strain.
I will briefly introduce the available methods and sample environments and present some preliminary results as well as a roadmap for future developments. We will then take a tour around the labs and see the machines at work, with plenty of time for questions and discussion.- Links
