- Description
- The anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) effect is a critical phenomenon with extensive applications in condensed matter physics. However, achieving a pronounced AMR remains a significant challenge. This study demonstrates that fold-up nanoribbons exhibit a conductance difference characterized by a perfect stair-step pattern, indicative of a quantized AMR effect. Moreover, under reasonable parameters, the ballistic anisotropic magnetoresistance (BAMR) ratio of this system reaches 100%. We utilize both the semiclassical model and band theory to explain this phenomenon and extend our findings to nanoribbons of similar geometry structures. .
