- In the first half of the week (Mon-Wed) talks will present topics of general interest in atomic physics.
The focus days (Wed-Fri) will be devoted to "Fluctuation-induced phenomena”. Correlated classical and quantum fluctuations can give rise to forces in constrained systems such as in liquid mixtures near critical points, or Casimir-type forces derived from fluctuations of the quantum vacuum. The focus days will survey the recent developments in fluctuation-induced phenomena, ranging from theoretical foundations to experimental verification. - Links
