- Description
- Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are expected to play a key role in future power generation systems due to their high performance and energy-efficient manufacturing. However, currently available vacuum deposition techniques do not meet the requirements for widespread industrial adoption in terms of speed, simplicity, and scalability. In this work, phase-pure CsFAPb(IBr)₃ perovskite powders were synthesized via a ball-milling process and subsequently deposited using electron beam evaporation. This approach successfully produces uniform CsFAPb(IBr)₃ perovskite films without additional post-treatment. The films exhibit excellent crystallinity and optical properties and enable the fabrication of PSCs in the inverted planar architecture. Initial proof-of-concept devices already achieve a remarkable power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 14.0%. These results highlight the potential of this unconventional approach to advancing PSCs on their path towards widespread commercialization.
