- Description
- Open Source MRT? DIY made Orthopaedic devices? An e-bike-like wheel chair kit for tuning wheel chairs? An open Source braille machine? There is a new topic in the FabLab and Maker Community and the question is: What is possible? What are the benefits? How can I get one? What about quality and why might it be a solution to whom? For example a BrailleRap is an open hardware machine developed in France but also built in Senegal or Bali to improve life for everybody and to provide local manufactured tools. Maik will give you a short input about the Global FabCare Community and his investigations in France in April this year. Then Anne from UKD will join the discussion from a medical point of view. We welcome all interested people who would like to know more about open source medical devices or helpers for inclusion, and anyone to share their experiences, needs and stories.
