- About Christian M. Hedrich: Dr. Hedrich’s research focuses on epigenetic mechanisms in cytokine gene regulation and attenuated cytokine expression in autoimmune diseases. As staff pediatric rheumatologist at University Children’s Hospital Dresden, he is currently taking a sabbatical at Dr. George Tsokos’ research facility at Harvard Medical School in Boston, where he investigates the effects of CREMα on epigenetic patterns of cytokine genes and resulting cytokine dysregulation in systemic lupus erythematosus.
