- Description
- Prof Alejandra Tomas is a Professor of Cell Biology and Head of Section of Cell Biology and Functional Genomics at the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction, Imperial College London. Her research leverages molecular cell biology, advanced imaging, targeted biosensor technology and multiomic strategies to uncover novel regulators and signalling modalities for the glucagon receptor family. By integrating pharmacology, genetics, and structural biology insights, her group has identified new pathways to modulate glucagon receptor family trafficking and signaling, offering opportunities to optimize their therapeutic potential in metabolic disease.
