- Autoionization channels which are specific to clusters and weakly bonded matter, e.g. liquids, have been intensively investigated in recent years. They are now known as Intermolecular Coulombic Decay, Electron Transfer Mediated Decay, etc. I will give a technical exposition about what may or may not be expected from experiments on clusters. After that I review the status of our experiments on ICD and give an outlook on future perspectives.
