Description
Partial Wave Analysis is a powerful tool in hadron physics to extract the decay dynamics of even complex processes. An introduction to this approach is given. Angular amplitudes and different approaches to parameterize the dynamical amplitudes are presented. For the latter, the K-matrix formalism ensures the unitarity of the transition matrix. Applications of the K-matrix, i.e. the proper parameterization of the pion-pion S wave are given.
