- Description
- We investigate nonequilibrium physics induced in quantum-critical many-body systems by considering thermal transport between two reservoirs coupled by a quantum critical system. Using methods from Full Counting Statistics, we derive rate equations for the quantum Ising chain under homogeneous coupling. In this case one observes signatures of the underlying quantum phase transition in the steady-state energy current already at finite and different reservoir temperatures. A possible extension of this idea to transport through a class of quantum-critical models from quantum optics is discussed.
