 \nDescription: Simulation of micro reactors and how these reactors can be 
 used for particle synthesis     What micro reactors are is defined in its 
 most general approach only by the typical size of their structures\, i.e. 
 typical length scales between 1&amp\;micro\;m to 1mm. The nature of these 
 kind of reactors is best understood by simulation. In the talk the example
  of micro reactor simulations are given and basis of common properties lik
 e intensive heat transfer\, fast mixing\, small inner volumes\, but also l
 aminar flow are worked out. The combination of all these properties leads 
 to the fact that chemical processes can be run with very high control and 
 in a very safe manner. All this makes micro reactors to an ideal tool for 
 the production of nano particles. Examples how this can be done and how pa
 rticle properties are controlled via the process in micro reactors are giv
 en.
