Description
We consider the simulation of hadron-hadron collisions predominantly at the Large Hadron Collider with the help of Monte Carlo event generator programs. After a pedagogical introduction to the physics and techniques of event generators there will be an overview of more recent developments that help to increase the accuracy of theoretical predictions made with these programs. We will conclude with a discussion and quantification of uncertainties within event generators.
