rtin Gutzwiller's scientific interests and contributions span a wide range
of fields and topics\, from quantum condensed matter theory to classical
chaos and celestial mechanics. He was closely linked to the MPIPKS and
gave his name to a fellowship the institute has been awarding annually sin
ce 2000. We gratefully look back to all these years and would like to hono
r him and his research with this workshop after he sadly passed away last
year. The workshop will bring together close colleagues and researchers
who have followed Martin Gutzwiller through his scientific universe. We w
ill have the opportunity to remember him and his ideas - and we will see a
nd discuss to which new frontiers these ideas have taken us to date.
